Our Meat

From our forty acres on the Southern High Plains near Avondale, Colorado, we raise registered Dexter cattle from birth to butcher on grass. Dexters are a small-frame heritage breed, tri-purpose and slow-growing, and the beef they produce is deeply flavored, fine-grained, and honest. Every cut on this page came from a Luna Mesa Ranch animal — finished on blue grama and orchard grass, unhurried, and butchered locally.

Our $6/lb ground beef comes from an older animal — leaner, deeper-flavored, and well-suited to chili, tacos, and long-simmered dishes.

Poultry

  • Whole Chicken — $20 each

Pastured on our forty acres, processed on the ranch, and sold whole. Weights vary; each bird is a full chicken, not by the pound.

Availability varies with the seasons — please call or email to confirm what’s on hand before ordering. We deliver locally along the Pueblo–Avondale corridor. Payment is by cash or check.
